Too late? We had another example of this yesterday in the PGA event in Houston. A journeyman golfer who, at age 38, and who had never in his career been in the final group, won the tournament to not only get his first win but an invitation to the Master in Augusta next week, and all of the other perks that go with winning one of these tournaments. What made this time, after many years on the tour, different from the others. The key was preparation, not only physical preparation but mental preparation in creating a positive and confident attitude together with a game plan to approach each hole and each shot with due care so he played the course and not the other players. Was it easy – of course not – but he maintained his confidence and in the end won the event! This once again proves that it is never too late in life to achieve goals and to make changes and adjustments to what you are doing in order to succeed. A life lesson for all of us!
" If I set myself a task, be it ever so trifling, I shall see it through. How else shall I have confidence in myself to do important things? "
