Power. Over the past few weeks we have all hear a lot about power (or lack thereof) as a result of Fay and Gonzalo. I want to talk about a different kind of power. This is the power of each individual to make changes for themselves, their vocation, and their community. The reaction to the storms demonstrated that by working together towards a common goal we can have major successes. As we look to the future we need to harness this energy and focus and achieve not only economic growth but a strengthening of our community and our collaboration. As you approach a new week, that for some includes a Thanksgiving holiday, let's initiate processes and projects that some months in the future gives us real cause for being thankful! Let's just do it!
"What does it mean to succeed? Most people see success as being rich and famous or powerful and influential. Others see it as being at the top of their profession and standing out from the rest. The wise see success in a more personal way; they see it as achieving the goals they have set for themselves, and then feeling pride and satisfaction in their accomplishments. True success is felt in the heart, not measured by money and power. So be true to yourself and achieve the goals you set. For success is reaching those goals and feeling proud of what you have accomplished."
