Perfection. We all see the car ad for the "relentless pursuit of perfection." The challenge with this approach is that it causes unnecessary stress when you are unable to achieve such a lofty ambition. The best way to move ahead is to set big goals and then develop short term action plans that move you in that direction. This is what we were all taught as youngsters, (recall the story of the tortoise and the hare) and move forward one step at a time! This allows you to measure your progress, establish stronger action plans, and move forward on a continuous basis. So seek improvements that make you more effective and happier and have fun as you move ahead.
"Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but instantly set about remedying them – every day begin the task anew."
- Saint Francis De Sales
