Sizzle. We are most definitely into that time of the year when the temperatures sizzle and we all seek shade and cooler places to do our work and play. This got me to thinking about what do each of us do to make our lives and our businesses sizzle? What gives us the zing, the uniqueness, and the brand that gets people to stand up and take notice of what you do and what a difference you make? What are you doing to create a brand for you or your business to move to a higher level of success? Look around at what things do you feel sizzle for you as you look at products or services in the marketplace? Why are you attracted to them? Step back and see if you can identify the things these brands do that makes you want them, identify with them, and always buy their products? If you do this then ask yourself why are you so loyal to these brands? Once you have your list ask the same questions for your own business - what can you change so you can start to develop that kind of strong brand identity? Create your own sizzle in your market!

" Suppliers and especially manufacturers have market power because they have information about a product or a service that the customer does not and cannot have, and does not need if he can trust the brand. This explains the profitability of brands. "

- Peter Drucker
