Diabetes. November 14th is World Diabetes Day. This is a day when the world stops and recognizes the increasing epidemic that diabetes has become. A lifestyle disease that is destroying lives, families, and costing communities and countries in both time lost and significant economic impact. Take a moment and visit www.idf.org and www.diabetes.bm to learn more about this serious challenge that we all must face together. The solution lies in educating our populations on the positives of healthy living including proper diet and exercise. The education of our very young children is a key – as with the battle against smoking, the change will require action one step at a time! So take a moment and educate your selves and help all Member Associations of the IDF where you can to extend the impact that they can have in their communities.
