Competition. For the past two weeks we have watched athletes from all over the world compete for their countries. The time these people have spent and the work they have done just to achieve the milestone of making it to the Olympics is simply amazing. In many instances the difference between winning and last place is measured in hundreds of a second or a centimeter in length. The effort and mental toughness to keep trying to get that extra bit of time or length is what impresses me – they never stop trying to get better! If all of us started this week to get a little better, to work a little smarter, to give a little more effort, just think what we might be able to achieve in making our economy stronger and get it on the road to recovery. So develop a new strategy of making little improvements to what you do and you may be astonished by the result.
