Business and recession. There is little doubt that the economic downturn has had a major impact on many businesses. However, in all economic times there are opportunities to expand your business and attract new clients. As an example I know a person here in Bermuda who has been a great mason all of his life. As construction here contracted he had to use his own contacts to see if he could develop some new business. As a result of his skills and contacts he very quickly found that he had more work than he could handle! To say he was surprised would be an understatement but it was his skills that people were looking for as they know they would get a first class job. Take the time to identify what you can do and what kind of people or firms you can do it for. There is always a shortage of great people who are willing to work hard and do the job right the first time!
