Horses. As many of you know horses are a major part of life in Bermuda. Our
Bermuda family are quite involved with horses and many of you know that Karen
is a very capable equestrian. We have recently completed the annual Bermuda
Exhibition and our family did very well and our grandchildren participated in
the carriage competition as passengers. Our two granddaughters, yes, including
Lyla, age 2, take lessons and are learning the skills that will develop as
they grow older. It is amazing to watch small children take control of a
larger animal without fear but learn the respect that is need to be
successful. What did you do as a child that you would like to do again?
"Did you ever see an unhappy horse? Did you ever see bird that had the blues?
One reason why birds and horses are not unhappy is because they are not trying
to impress other birds and horses."
