Unexpected. While away
recently Karen and I went to visit a town in a northern province
in Panama called Boquete. You may have heard of it as it becoming
a place to consider for retirement living. You approach this place
driving across a large mesa. It is very flat and although you see
mountains you start to wonder what all of the fuss is about. You
drive under an arch and follow a road downwards into a valley -
and magic! This valley has many creeks, two rivers, and is surrounded
by these great mountains and an 11,000-foot volcano. (not active)
What a beautiful and magical environment - beautiful flowers and
trees and many birds. Think of our own lives - how often do we go
around a corner and encounter something wonderful. We all need to
keep turning corners and going down into valleys. - Oliver Wendell Holmes
